Sri Lanka at its best with Madu and Excellent Lanka
We have traveled as a large family group for 3 weeks and had the most amazing trip with Madu. Madu was always a step ahead of us and made our trip comfortable and relaxed but also made sure we covered plenty of ground to see the amazing sights Sri Lanka has to offer. It's worth mentioning his driving is impeccable (smooth and safe) and that the van and car we used were very comfortable. He has amazing knowledge of all the historic sites, wildlife, geography, and history here, but it's his local knowledge that really set the trip apart. Whether it was a little hidden gem of a restaurant, a bowl of curd and honey from a street vendor, or stopping at a roadside cinnamon 'factory', there were special moments dotted across each day that made this a true trip of a lifetime. Madu is a great guy, was genuinely caring of our group, has a great sense of humour, and was an absolute pleasure to travel with. If you are coming to Sri Lanka, don't hesitate to contact Madu. BEST GUIDE/DRIVER EVER
Madushan is without a doubt, the best guide/driver.we have ever had over our many years of travelling the world. His knowledge, kindness, advice and help around everything Sri Lankan is boundless. He helped us throughout our three weeks in his beautiful country, not only by looking after the big picture, he also enhanced our visit by stopping at delicious roadside eateries, places most visitors would bypass. Fantastic steamed spiced rice flour cakes in the hill country was just one example, buffalo curd and honey at another and the sweetest mango slices when we were flagging with the humidity was yet another kindly gesture Madushan surprised us with. Madushan the Magnificent!
You couldnt choose a better guide than Madushan. His forethought, humour, knowledge, thoughtfulness, and ability to organise without it being in any way intrusive, made for a perfect trip. We saw so much more than we would have without him, but always in a relaxed and thoroughly enjoyable way. He is excellent at negotiating good rates for tourists and also taking us to great local places to eat taking into account budget and food preferences. Our holiday would have been much less enjoyable and more difficult without his wonderful services and in depth knowledge of location, language, religion and culture. Wonderful Sri Lanka driver
We have just spent 15 wonderful days in Sri Lanka with my husband and our two daughters, accompanied by Madushan as our English-speaking driver guide. During these two weeks, he was much more than just a driver, we felt like we were traveling with a friend and laughed a lot together. His in-depth knowledge of the country, roads and sights made our trip smooth and stress-free. Always punctual and very attentive, he was able to adapt our itinerary according to our desires and the weather conditions. Excellent driver, we felt totally confident even on the most winding or busy roads in certain cities. In addition, he was able to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere from the moment we arrived, sharing with us anecdotes about the culture and history of Sri Lanka. Madu's Comfort Package
We made a tour of Sri Lanka from May 16 to June 6, 2024. Our daughter and her family had had a fantastic holiday a few years earlier with Madu as guide and driver. Through her experiences we asked Madu if he wanted to be our guide and driver. We got to know Madu as a professional and enthusiastic guide and driver. Through his wealth of experiences he has taken us to beautiful places and sights. He also took us to mostly authentic locations and eateries. Despite the fact that we had booked nights in advance, he came up with better options, where the price quality ratio was excellent. Overall a very helpful and friendly man, who despite spending three weeks together never gave the feeling that he was too much. A man whose company and input was greatly appreciated during the three weeks. Caring, friendly , knowledgeable , in short a very friendly and knowledgeable guide / driver. We've had a great time. Madushan has been our driver and guide during our week in Sri Lanka for our honeymoon and the experience has been incredible. Always punctual when picking us up. Very professional in his explanations as a guide on all tourist visits. He has helped us at all times with check-in at hotels, tickets for activities... He has taken us to restaurants and places that only local people knew about. Thanks to him we have experienced the essence of Sri Lanka. As a person he is a 10, very friendly and fun. Good person. Best Sri Lankan guide
At the last minute our chauffeur guide was changed, and we were so happy that this was the case. Madushan went above and beyond to make our holiday, truly memorable. He knows so much about Sri Lanka and continues to study whenever he can so he can provide his guest with the best experience. While we did book our tour through an agent, I would recommend people booking directly with Madushan as he really make a difference and make so many better suggestion, then what our travel agent did. Each day he would provide us with new information about the places we were going to and offer alternatives or just take us on a different route rather than the highway in order for us to experience the true Sri Lanka. Madushan has so many great contacts within the industry that night with us to see most of the animals in Sri Lanka, including leopards, which was the highlight of my trip. There is one thing having guide but when you are travelling with somebody for 11 days, you really need somebody who understands where you both are at.
